With Lucas we agreed to go to Tatra mountains. He had couple days off and I needed to reach Krakow in couple days, so Tatra was on the way for me. We walked outside the city and started hitchhiking. Waited some time and hopped in the car. When I was hitchhiking alone I got drivers who don´t speak English at all, but when I was with him the driver spoke English. Bloody hell. And we hit a deer on the way :/
Yay mountains on da left
Yay I saw snow :)
<3
The driver dropped us in Poprad and from there we took a bus. In the bus station I saw Torres :D
We reached Tatra mountains in an hour with a bus and went to our hostel "The Ginger Hostel". Changed my clothes and went with Nina to walk the dog. Well I just wanted to reach the high peaks
Saw some bear prints, was a bit scary. Reminded myself what to do when meeting a bear (make a lots of noise, DON´T bloody run away)
It was bloody windy..
Yay reached the top where I set my goal to. It would get dark soon so I didn´t want to get lost and meet bears.. But I definitely will go back and reach the highest peaks
Manger-ish thingy
But it had holes, so I am not sure what it was for
On the way down
For water to pass, like a drain, so it wouldn´t make the road too muddy
The water was so clear and blue
In total I hiked ~10 km in 3-4 hours and max altitude 1173 m
Came back to the hostel, showered, picked Lucas up and went to a restaurant
His food. In Slovakia you have to buy everything separately, potatoes, salad, sauce etc. It is not common to have a ready meal in the menu where is everything included
In the hostel were mostly people from Canada, US and Australia. We were drinking Tatra tea and we were using this trowel for it. IT´S DRINK O´CLOCK!! We played cards against humanity as well. Did not know what many cards meant and ofc they knew because they were native speakers.. Kayy :D
This is soo useful! It should be in every hostel
Drinking game
Added some stuff
And there was a doggo <3
I woke up at 06:00 to film the sunrise, but it was cloudy so I did not get anything recorded. Went back to sleep and wake at 9. Breakfast (white bread, Nutella and eggs). Packed my belongings and threw away some clothes. Waited until the rain stopped and went out 11.55, walked 1,4 km and started hitchhiking 12.15. The Ginger Hostel was really cool, recommend. It was chill, cozy and there was everything what you need
Can´t see the peaks
Trying to hitchhike to Krakow. Fucking no one picked me up.. One car stopped but did not want where I would like to go. And there was the language barrier as well.. Maybe I would get closer, but couldn´t understand them.. Waited half an hour and then got on. The guy was from Ukraine and now works there somethingsomething. Tried to speak Russian but njetu. He noticed pretty fast that I have a ring on my marriage finger and asked me about it. I wanted to tell him it´s my school ring, but I couldn´t so I tried to tell "da, moja muž" blablabla. Just before he dropped me off in Novy Targ, he offered me money to do something with him. Fucking hell no... I really thought those are just scary stories and will not happen to me, that they happen super rarely, but no. Fucking Slovakia..
So he dropped me off in that small city and I was thinking should I hitchhike more or take a bus. Decided for the bus. Ticket cost 13 zl aka 3 €. It was a hassle to take money out from the atm, but whatever

Off to Krakow
